Summary:
We have had reports of customers getting timeouts errors (19 over a period of 24 hours) when using the ABTCP/TCPIP with one of new Allen Bradley Ethernet Interface (Series A Rev A) which plugs into a PLC-5/80E CPU (Series C Rev K or Series D Rev B). 

Solution:
The timeout only seems to happen with the new EI unit. The problem seems to be, that the new EI unit will randomly take more than 2.5 seconds to respond to a Citect request. Each of these lapses last for a couple of minutes at a time. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

The temporary solution is to change the timeout from 1000 ms to 3000 ms by setting:

Timeout=3000
