Summary:
I am currently trying to run Citect/Citect32 as a shell under Windows. Several errors are reported on startup, mainly referencing the CIKT driver and the Allen-Bradley KTX card. The first error is: "Load device (wrtdev0.vxd): the system cannot find the file specified". The system runs without error when operated from the explorer environment or when started as an argument to 'run=' in WIN.INI. What are possible causes of this problem and how can they be overcome?

Solution:
Citect just starts the Windows WinRT software. This WinRT software requires the Wrtdev?.vxd files. Citect has no control over how WinRT finds these files so you need to put Citect\Bin in the path statement of your autoexec.bat file. You will also need to update the path and copy the data files (*.SS1) to your Windows directory if you are running Citect as a shell with SSTAB.
