Summary:
The default pen 1 colour for each style of the Eventtrend template is black. As the background colour is also black, the pen 1 trend is not visible. Note that only the Super VGA (SVGA) resolution template for each style exhibits this problem.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 3.4/4.2 and 5.0. This problem is fixed in a future release of Citect.

 

Solution:
The Eventtrend template must be edited to fix this problem. If your pages are created with a linked (Linked check box checked in the Use Template dialog) Eventtrend template, then your pages must be updated to use the fixed template. If your pages are created with the Eventrend template unlinked (Linked check box unchecked in the Use Template dialog), then you must change the pages directly.

To correct the Eventtrend template, you must edit the template for the SVGA resolution for each template style (bottom, standard, top). To edit the Eventtrend template with the bottom style and SVGA resolution follow these steps:

  1. Select the Open menu item from the Citect Graphics Builder File menu.
  2. Select the Template tab.
  3. Select the include Project.
  4. Select the SVGA Resolution and the bottom style.
  5. Select the Eventtrend Template and click on the OK button.
  6. Double click in the middle of the trend window to display the trends dialog.
  7. Click on the Configure button.
  8. Click on Pen 1 in the Trend Colours group.
  9. Click on the bright green colour box. This is at the top of the green row (row1, column 11).
  10. Click on the OK button to dismiss the Trend Attributes dialog and accept the changes.
  11. Click on the OK button again to dismiss the Trends dialog and accept the changes.
  12. Select the Save menu item from the File menu.

Repeat steps 1 to 12 for the standard and top styles (ie. substitute standard and top style for bottom style).

Each project must be updated to reflect the template changes. Open each project and select the Update Pages menu item from the Tools menu. All linked pages are updated by this procedure.

To correct a page that is not linked to the Eventtrend template. Open the page in Citect Graphics Builder and double click on the trend object. Follow steps 7 to 12 above. This procedure must be completed for all pages which contain an unlinked Eventtrend template.
