Summary:
Some Users have encountered a problem after installing the Sentinel Driver on the final release (build 1381) of WindowsNT 4.0.

Upon re-booting the machine, WindowsNT will display a blue screen to the user with a message that an error has occurred in the NT Kernel.


Solution:
As of 30/9/96, Rainbow has released a new version of the Sentinel System Drivers. Although, Rainbow's Sentinels worked correctly prior to this, the final release has introduced some problems. A new version of the Sentinel System Drivers is highly recommended for all end-users upgrading to Windows NT 4.0. To recover from the blue error screen, detailed recovery information is available on Rainbow's web page:

You can download the latest version of the Rainbow System Driver for Windows NT from there or get the file from the Microsoft ftp site:

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/hotfixes-postsp1/ntvdm-fix/

This will enable you to get more information about the latest hotfix and installation instructions.
