Summary:
There seem to be two problems with the millisecond trends' display :
  1. Changing the display span or display period does not have any effect on trend display. If the user changes the display span or the display period, for that matter, the time it takes for a data point to travel across the trend window will not change at all.
  2. The real time trend display data is not correct and accurate. Although the trend server acquires and logs the trend data correctly - which can be verified by displaying the historical data , the real time display of the data is not correct.

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.00. This problem has been fixed in version 5.01.

The problem was due to the fact that the trend server did not send enough samples to the display client to display.
