Summary:
I am trying to use the CTAPI function ctPointRead on a Citect client machine. However the value returned is always zero? 

Solution:
There is a problem with the CTAPI functions ctPointRead and ctPointWrite whereby which they will not work on a Citect client machine. The problem does not exists if using CTAPI on the IO Server machine.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.00. This problem has been fixed in version 5.00 Service Pack A.
