Summary:

I am using Office 97 Excel and I want to edit the Citect DBF files. However, there is no option to go back to Excel version 4 menus so that I can Set Database and move the EOF marker. How can I edit the Citect.DBF file in Office 97?

Solution:

In Excel 97 menus, if you highlight the field headers and data then select Insert | Name | Define, you can define a new range for the database portion of the spreadsheet. Then save the file as a DBase III type file.
