Summary:
The Citect Profibus FMS drivers including PROFI, PROFIB and PROFIBD support long types but they don't seem to work. Why? 

Solution:
CiT have confirmed that there is a problem in the PROFI.DBF which does not allow the proper use of the Long data type. This has been fixed in Citect V5.01 and the fix may also be found on the FTP site.
