Summary:
I have Citect V3 or earlier and I want to upgrade to Citect V4 or later. What driver issues should I watch out for: 

Solution:
Citect V3.x and earlier versions are 16 bit products and are designed to run on Windows 3.11 or Windows 95. Citect V4 and later are 32 bit products and are designed to run on Windows 95 or Windows NT. There are two main issues to consider when upgrading from a 16 bit Citect version to a 32 bit Citect version:

1. Does an upgrade path exist ?

2. Will it involve an additional cost not included in the Citect package ?

Drivers may involve an upgrade cost because:

a) the 32 bit driver may require the use of extra or different third party components. See also Q1922

b) the driver was not automatically upgraded to a Citect 32 bit version by CIT. CIT should be contacted to determine the feasibility and implications in cost and delivery for an upgrade to the specific driver.
