Summary:
I am getting communication breaks when high disk activity (or other intensive low level operating system activity) is present, and you are using Windows 95.  

Solution:
Intensive low level operating system activity within Windows 95 affects some Citect drivers from maintaining stable communications. The Citect drivers primarily affected are those that access hardware directly including:
  • ABTCP in conjunction with CIKT
  • ABTCP in conjunction with SSTAB
  • SQUARED
  • GENIUS
  • TIWAY
  • BURRB
  • Any driver in conjunction with CCSARC

Ci Technologies recommend using Windows NT, which does not experience this problem.
