Summary: |
I have set up communication with a Mitsubishi PLC to run the MelsecNet protocol with Citect's MelsecNet driver. As far as I can see everything is setup correctly, but Citect doesn't get the IODevice online. |
Solution: |
1) Make sure that the Ethernet card in the
PLC is a AJ71E71.
2) Can you ping the IODevice from the PC, if not, check the setup of the TCP/IP protocol in the PC. Note! The PLC requires PLC code to respond to a ping, see point 5. 3) Check the PLC dip switches on the AJ71E71:
4) Address field in the IODevice form is set to the correct CPU number, most common is to use 255. Verify this in section 8.1.2 of Melsec A AJ71E71 user manual. 5) The PLC must be programmed to operate the AJ71E71 interface. Sample programs are available on the FTP-site: http://www.citect.com/driverweb. Remember to replace the TCP/IP addresses with your addresses. |
