Summary:
I want to use an Allen-Bradley communications method that is not commonly used with Citect, but it does not seem to be supported by Citect's standard drivers. For example, I want to communicate using the PCMCIA version of the KT card, but no mention is made of this card in the Citect help.

Solution:
Ci Technologies tries to provide drivers for common communications methods which do not require third party communications packages. However, for communication methods which are unusual or difficult, you may need to use these additional packages.

The PCMCIA KT card is not a commonly used communication method with Citect. However, Citect still supports this card with the use of Allen-Bradley's RSLinx, which is designed to handle many different communications methods.

Other examples include the full-duplex version of Citect's KE500 driver. See Q1812 for more information..
