Summary:
I am starting the compiler and it is crashing. What can the problem be.

Solution:
There is one known problem that can cause the compiler to crash on startup. If you have a changes.dbf (where Citect stores project change information) with greater than 32767 records and a report also needs to be compiled then the compiler will crash on startup.

A workaround to this problem is to delete changes.dbf from the project directory and copy in the changes.dbf from the Include project. You will then need to uncheck Incremental compile in the options box in the Project Editor to force a full compile. This will make sure that all your changes will be compiled.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.00. This problem has been fixed in version 5.00 Service Pack D.
