Summary:
The SQUARE D driver looses communications with all PLCs connected to a particular card at random intervals when using Citect version 5 under Windows 95. 

Solution:
This problem is related more to Windows 95 than Citect and an upgrade to NT is advisable. Code has been added within the SQUARE D driver to identify when the problem occurs and to reset the card under this occurrence.

The process of resetting the card takes a couple of seconds and thus may effect trending, although not too adversely as the time between problems seems to be several hours.
