Summary:
The Koyo range of PLCs supports a number of different protocols. What are they, and how does Citect take advantage of them ? 

Solution:
The Koyo PLC support the following protocols:

DirectNet
This protocol is referred to by Ci Technologies as the CCM protocol. Citect supports this protocol with the use of the CCM driver.

K-Sequence
 This protocol is a proprietary protocol for use with programming devices. Citect does not presently support this protocol.

Modbus Master / Slave
 The MODBUS protocol has become a defacto industry standard. Citect supports this protocol with the use of the MODBUS and MBSLAVE protocols.

Ethernet protocol
 The full details of this protocol were unavailable at the time this KB article was written. However, the Koyo range of PLCs have enhanced their communications options to include Ethernet. Citect does not presently support this protocol.
