Summary:
Is there a limit to the length of SPC tags other than the 16 character limit on the form. I ask this because I am using 14 characters and Citect crashes when going to any SPC page. 

Solution:
There is a limit to the length of SPC tags which is less than 16 and it is 11. This is because internally there are suffixes like '.UXCL' which are added to the end of the tag to make the SPC tags associated with the base tag. The biggest of these suffixes is 5 characters in length therefore limiting the base tag to 11 characters.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 3.40 to 5.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
