Summary:
When I compile my project, the compiler gives the following error -

Type: FATAL Record: 1
Name: Field:
Table: C:\citect\User\Proj1\VARIABLE.DBF
Error: Unknown dba error
Context: C:\citect\User\Proj1\VARIABLE.DBF

When I click GOTO, the Variable Tag opened is correct with no errors. What does this error mean?

Solution:
If the first character inside the { } used to substitute a Variable Tag into an Alarm description is non-alphanumeric, then the complier gives the error "Unknown DBA Error".

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 5.00.  We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
