Error message "Could not open the language database: ..... The file may not exist or may be in use by another application."

If the English.dbf file made readonly, or simultaneous access by multiple Citect clients from a file server. For foreign language projects this error message will be the language database specified by [LANGUAGE]LocalLanguage parameter.


CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.XX. This problem has been fixed in version 5.10 Service Pack A.

This problem has re-occured in v6.xx and v7.0. It is most likely to occur on a multi-process configuration. This problem is under investigation by Citect.
