Summary:
The GETCP driver is not capable of writing strings longer than 6 characters to the PLC. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 4.00 to 5.10 (Driver version 2.01 and below). This problem has been fixed in version 5.20. This fix is also available in Citect V5.10 Driver Pack B (Driver version 2.10).
