Summary:
StrToDate() does not support Short month specified in text format (e.g. 21-Jul-1998) 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 5.xx. This problem has been fixed in version 5.10 Service Pack B. The Cicode function StrToDate() now supports the text month short format.
