Summary:
The online help says the limit of trend history files is 270. This is correct. However a bug has meant that an error 'out of memory trend master' occurs on startup if you try and use more than 135. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions to 5.XX. This problem has been fixed in version 5.20 Service Pack A.
