Summary:
When using the AlarmSetThreshold function with a blank threshold value, ithas been found that the Alarm Tag definition fields update as follows (depending on the type of threshold set):

LowLow -3.40e+38
Low -3.40e+38
High 3.40e+38
HighHigh 3.40e+38

 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem that has been fixed in Citect version 5.20 Service Pack A. The fix has been made so that when a blank is entered for the threshold value, then the corresponding field in the Alarm Tag definition will be blank as well.
