Summary:
The TagWrite function will give a range error when a negative number is written. This can be a problem where you have a UINT variable tag with a negative value for the engineering low scale. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 3.x to 5.20. This problem has been fixed in version 5.21.
