Solution:
You can communicate with the AB PLC2 over DH+ using the CIKT driver. In the PLC you need the 1785KA3 module which allows the PLC to talk DH+. Then configure Citect using the CIKT driver and the ABTCP2 protocol. The address of the I/O Device in Citect will be in the format of:

1KT:0,3

where 3 is the address configured on the 1785KA3 module.
