Summary:
It seems that the Microd driver does not work reliably with the MC1100 model, why? 

Solution:
The reason for this is that the MC1100 model has a maximum request size of 10 bytes, whereas all other models have a maximum request size of 50 bytes. CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in driver version prior to 2.02 and this has been fixed in driver version 2.02
