Summary:
If a pen is added or deleted it takes a long time to update because the update is based on the period or the span-time. Thus, the changes are not shown in the Trend Stats Window immediately. 

Solution:
The TrendStatWin and the TrendPageData in the Statpop.ci file are modified to fix the problem. The functions are forced to update the trendstats window immediately (ignoring the span time), whenever the pens are changed,  added or deleted, and also whenever the period or the span-time is changed.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 3.XX to 5.XX. This problem has been fixed in version 5.21.
