Summary: |
The Fisher Rosemount DPR810, DPR900 and DPR910 use the COMLI protocol, but when I use the COMLI driver, the unit won't come on-line. |
Solution: | ||||||||
You will need to use COMLI driver version
2.10 or newer, which will be available with Citect v5.30 or Citect
v5.20 Driver Pack B.
In the I/O device form, indicate the type of device by selecting the Protocol from the table below:
Older versions of the COMLI driver request more I/O RAM bits than these devices have, to establish communications. Newer versions of the driver will only request 8 bits, which is the minimum request length for all COMLI devices. NOTE: For the Fisher-Rosemount DPR810 and DPR900, Read Registers and Write Registers can NOT be accessed. These registers are designed to only be read from or written to, in large blocks, which is NOT supported by this driver. Instead use the Read/Write and I/O RAM Bit Registers, which access the same data, one register at a time. For further details, see the sections describing "Register Definitions" in the Fisher-Rosemount User Manual "Using the DPR COMLI Protocol". |
