Summary: |
A project was backed up using a version of Citect Explorer prior to 5.21 and restored into the version 5.21 Citect Explorer. The main project had include projects in sub-directories. The project links for these include projects were manually added after the project restoration. When the main project was compiled, the compile error "Tag not found" occurred. Why does this happen? |
Solution: |
CIT have confirmed this to be a problem in
Citect for Windows versions 5.21. The problem is that when
the Citect Explorer links projects, it currently does not upgrade
the linked projects. In Citect 5.21, the procedures for
indexing of DBase DBF files were changed, requiring an upgrade for
all restored projects. The manual solution to this problem is
as follows:
After restoring a project of the type mentioned above, shut down the Citect Explorer, then make the following setting to the Citect.ini file (in order to upgrade all projects): [CTEDIT] Start up the Citect Explorer and all projects will be upgraded. The compilation errors should not occur when compiling after the upgrade. CIT is also researching a programming fix to this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available. |
