Strange problems can result from incorrect
Digiboard set up, such as;
The I/O Server simply stops talking to its associated RTUs. When this occurs, CITECT running on the I/O server appears to work normally. Citect works for a period of time then stops communicating. Upon restart, the error cannot load serial drivers occurs. |
Solution: |
1. Running Current versions of Citect, ie
V3.40, V4.20 spkL and V5.x:
Ensure that the latest DigiBoard drivers are downloaded from the Digi Web Site, for the O/S you are using. 2. Running Old DigiBoard cards (COMXi) in 32Bit versions of Citect: Discard the DigiBoard and use a card designed for 32 bit operation (eg PCxe). As above, install the latest driver from the DigiBoard Web Site or use the drivers supplied on the CDROM with the new card. http://support.digi.com/support/drivers/index.html 3. It is interesting to note that most problems occur under Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and 98. |
