Summary:

The MICROD driver is getting a "Response bad or garbled" error, however the device seems to have no communication problems and is returning correct response packets.

Solution:

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in the MICROD driver.  It has been found that the MICROD driver is incorrectly calculating the expected response length.  This problem has been fixed in MICROD driver version 2.00.03.
