Summary:
Neither I/O server redundancy nor data path redundancy on a single I/O server is properly implemented for remote/scheduled I/O devices. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.20 to 5.21. This problem has been fixed in version 5.30.
