Summary: |
Citect takes a long time to respond (or
even bringing the unit offline) after the cable has been
disconnected/connected to the Siemens S7 PLCs. This only happens if
there is a network of S7 PLCs connected to a single Citect PC.
This situation also happens when Citect starts up and one of the PLCs is offline. |
Solution: |
The function of the standard driver
parameter Timeout had been modified so that it no longer controls
the timeout duration.
A new parameter has been added to control the timeout duration when the driver does not receive a response from the S7 API. This parameter is designated "ConnTimeout". The default time for timeout is 5000ms. CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in the S7 drivers up to and including V2.03.00. This has been fixed in version 2.03.01 and upwards. |
