Summary:
Calling TrnDelHistory() on a current trend history file should fail, but it does not do this. The file is deleted from the list of history files for that trend. Any data that should be written to that file will be lost, and no data can be read from the file. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 5.31. This problem has been fixed in version 5.40.
