Summary:
Sometimes a slow network (such as a dialup connection) will cause the hardware alarm "incompatible Server Version" to be displayed in the trend client, and then the connection is dropped.

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 5.31. This problem has been fixed in version 5.40.
