Summary:
I have installed a new driver into Citect v5.31 using a Citect Standalone Driver Pack.

When I compile I get the following error -

    Table C:\Citect\v531r0\Bin\PROTDIR.DBF
    Error String expected

 

Solution:
Due to a release bug in Citect v5.31 installing any Standalone Driver Pack into this version will result in corrupting the master driver list. The error is due to a blank line being generated at the top of the Protdir.dbf file. Citect Support can supply an new file on request or tell you how to edit this file.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows v5.31. This problem has been fixed in v5.40
