Summary:
As an example, say MsgRPC functions are being used between redundant Trend Servers (the connection parameters include Name="Trend" and Mode=3). If the connection is broken (e.g. by the redundant Trend Server shutting down and restarting), the MsgRPC function no longer works over the connection, as the connection has been broken and not re-established. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 3.xx, 4.xx and 5.xx. This problem has been fixed in Citect version 5.21 Service Pack G.
