Summary:
When upgrading project from Version 5.10 to 5.21 onwards, if the project has a genie and it has a substitution called %Page% or %An% then when it is upgraded there will be a problem.

The problem is that when you paste this genie onto a page or it has been pasted previously, the name of the current page automatically gets substituted into the field and the property cannot be modified.  As for the %An% the An number will automatically get substituted into the field.

 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.21 to 5.31. This problem has been fixed in version 5.40.
