How do I start and stop the Winrt service on a Windows 2000 machine? 

Solution:
To stop and start Winrt on Windows 2000 do the following:

-Go to Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management and under System Tools select Device Manager

-Under the View menu select 'Show hidden devices'

-Go back under the View menu and select 'Resources by connection'

You should now be able to see Winrt on the right.
