Summary:
When the zoom window is active in Graphics Builder and you press the plus and minus keys to zoom in and out the selected object's nodes will be altered. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.30 to 5.40 Service Pack A. This problem has been fixed in version 5.41.
