Summary:
If you get a message box that presents you with the error message,

"An internal software error has occurred. For further information refer to syslog.dat or contact Citect Support",

then this indicates a serious error has occurred within Citect. You can continue using Citect but its important the problem is rectified.

 

Solution:
The syslog.dat file will contain more information as to what the problem actually was which may help you rectify it. Most of the information is for use in house and will not be of any help.

If you cannot rectify the problem from this information then its important that you contact Citect Support and have a copy of the syslog.dat file ready.
