Applies To:
  • CitectSCADA 5.40, 5.40 Service Pack A

Summary:
If Standby I/O Devices are going offline, Citect will not catch this change.

In Citect you can check I/O device connection status either in the runtime kernel unit window or by calling Cicode function iodeviceinfo("iodevname", 3). But neither of them will report the status changing when a Standby I/O device goes offline.

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.40 to 5.40 Service Pack A. This problem has been fixed in version 5.40 Service Pack B and 5.41.
