Summary:
After installing Citect IDC, two citect.ini files are created in the following directories:

C:\IDC\citect.ini

C:\IDC\Bin\citect.ini

Why are there two? Which one does Citect use?

 

Solution:
Citect only uses the INI file in the C:\IDC\Bin directory. To avoid confusion, simply delete the other one. CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.2x to 5.40 Service Pack C. This issue has been fixed in Citect v5.41.
