Summary: |
We have a problem running the APCS USC
Configuration Software with Citect V5.21 & 5.30, on a
Windows-NT platform. (I am currently running NT4.0, Spk6a). After
installing USC Configurator, we have the errors as shown;
ODBC return code: -1 Error description: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 182 (Microsoft dBase Driver (*.dbf)) ODBC error string: State:IM003, Native:160, Origin: The following was tried to fix the issue: Installing IE 5.5 Service Pack 1, Installing NT Service Pack 6a again, Installing CitectDB, Re-installing Citect, Downloading MDAC v2.7 from Microsoft and installing that, Un-installing Citect and then re-installing it (The installation keeps repeating the ODBC installation, even after a reboot). None of the usual fixes worked. |
Solution: |
The file odbcjt32.dll, version 4.0.6019.0,
appears to be effected by the installation of some other
applications, such as APCS USC Configuration Software. MS
depends.exe, a utility to check the dependancy of dlls, indicates
the call to Mswstr10.dll shows an "Unresolved parent import".
The solution is to either copy an earlier version of this dll from a known working installation of Citect on a working machine or contact Citect Support for a known working copy of the dll. The file belongs in \winnt\system32 folder, with version 4.0.4403.2 being a know good version for Citect V5.2x ~ 5.4x running on Windows NT4 spk6a. |
