Summary:
If you write to the properties of a number of alarms consecutively, eg. to acknowledge alarm by setting alarmtagname.ack = 1, not all of them will succeed.

The original workaround provided in KB Q3073 may require a long time sleeping in each call, which is sometimes not acceptable.

 

Solution:
An interim solution to workaround this problem may be obtained by setting the following Citect INI parameter:

    [IOServer]
    BlockWrites=0

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 5.20 to 5.40 and CitectHMI/SCADA version 5.41. This problem has been fixed in version 5.41 Service Pack A.
