Summary: |
Printing trends causes an increase in CPU
usage that does not recover when the print job has finished.
This has been observed with the following printers under Windows 2000 (may occur with others): HP Deskjet 660C HP Deskjet 692C Canon S200SP |
Solution: |
The problem is related to some advanced
features in the printer driver. These are unnecessary when printing
trends.
An example of how to disable this for the HP Deskjet 660C: Go to the printer properties in Windows. Go to the 'General' Tab click on the 'Printing Preferences' button, click on the 'Advanced' button. Set the Image Colour Management\ICM Method to "ICM Disabled". Then OK all the changes. |
