Summary:
If you are using the DDEDRV to communicate to a remote DDE server via NETDDE and you get a network break, the DDEDRV will slowly consume internal transaction buffers. This can cause the DDEDRV to return the error "out of buffers" and will cause all communication to fail. Citect will have to be restarted before you can re-establish communications to the DDE server. 

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions to 5.41. This problem has been fixed in version 5.42.
