Summary:
The DDEDRV may return random data for DDE Tags that are not advised. This may occur when the DDE item does not exist on the server or the Server is down. These tags should be displayed as #COM as they are in error. 

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions to 5.41. This problem has been fixed in version 5.42.
