Summary:
In the Citect Explorer, if you have a project selected that is read-only and you go from that project folder to "My Projects", restoring a project generates the following warning popup:

Restore Project

Cannot restore over a read-only project.

The project "x" is read-only.

Do you wish to make it read-write?

This bug was said to have been fixed in Citect v5.30, but is still occurring.

 

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions 5.21 to 5.40 Service Pack B. This problem has been fixed in version 5.41r0. If a read-only project is currently selected (active project), but "My Projects" is highlighted on the list, the user no longer receives a warning message. However, if the user tries to restore over the active project, CitectSCADA will generate this warning message, inhibiting anyone from restoring over read-only projects.
