Summary:

Remote I/O Device tags will display #COM rather than #WAIT if the I/O Server has not yet connected to the I/O Device. Another manifestation of this problem is the IODeviceInfo() function returning incorrect client-side states.

Solution:

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions 5.30 to 5.41 Spk B. This problem has been fixed in version 5.42.
