I am trying to logon to my Citect Server
from the PocketSCADA, however I am receiving the error message
"WebCT Open. Failed to logon" What is causing this problem, and how can I overcome it? |
Solution: |
There are a number of reasons why this
would occur.
1.) You need to make sure that you are using a valid username and password. You can check your users on Citect by going into Citect Project Editor, clicking on System and then Users. This will show you the current users that are set up. The password fields will not be visible since they are encrypted. Once you verify that the user is on there. Then simply verify to make sure that in Citect SCADA you can log on and access the system as that user. Simply authenticating the user on Citect 2.) You need to log onto PocketSCADA as administrator and set up the XML file, where your Tags and other information is downloaded onto it. Making sure that your user details are added on correctly. 3.) If the above to methods have already been set up and validated, then chances are you have mismatched API files. To resolve this issue, you will simply need to open up Windows explorer and manually copy the CtAPI files contained in the Citect\Bin folder over the ones in the PocketSCADA\PocketServer\Bin folder. The files that need to be copied from Citect\Bin folder are: -CT_IPC.DLL -CTAPI.DLL -CTENG32.DLL -CTRES32.DLL -CTUTIL32.DLL These files are then copied into your PocketSCADA\PocketServer\ You can stop and start your Webserver for changes to take effect. This should resolve the problems. If you are still facing problems setting this up, contact your local Citect Support Office for assistance. |
